Deedub, i was thinking someone was sure to type that  :D Definitely had the chicken and it was great. it's the first time we've used the spit and we definitely need more practice before DD's 18th in a few weeks. We'll be cooking both lamb and pork on spits so need to practice a little. We had it with the roast vegetables from Alyce's new book and it was a lovely easy meal.

Wonder, why the spit and not your tandoori oven? Just curious 😄

BeezeBee we are going to be cooking for close to 100 so while we love to use the tandoor it would be to difficult to manage the meat for that many. We will be using two small spits with approx 10kg's of meat on each. Also for the extended slow cooking time it's much easier to keep the charcoal at a consistent temperature.

Sausages, mash, peas and gravy.  DS4 is excited he can dip his mash potato in his peas and they stick to it :D

We had some friends for dinner as they are heading back to Italy tomorrow. I cooked chicken korma from the Robogourmet app - the kids really liked this and have asked me to make it again ;D
I also cooked a dhal, a broccoli and green bean dish, rice and Thermomixers Aloo Gobi. I was going to make some flatbreads, but ran out of time. Desert was a selection of Haighs milk and dark macadamias and dark mint block.
No photos as I as too busy talking ;D

Simple, delicious flavours for dinner. Sesame oil and ginger go so well together in the stir fried chicken. Vege was easy too - okra fried with belacan, garlic and chillies.

Meat balls in a tomato sauce.
