I haven't either Denise but it just goes to show, if your mind is somewhere else it can happen.  I love fish pies but rarely make them.

Early this morning I made another recipe from the 'Salads in a Jar' book, to have for dinner over the next 2 nights.  The recipe is called "Spicy prawns with Jalapeno salsa", only as I don't like things too hot, I opted to use normal green chilli in the salsa instead.

Really loved the flavours and how crisp the salad stayed and look forward to having the other serve tomorrow.  I bought some lovely Weck jars which are perfect for this.  Am loving this book.  :D

Those jars are excellent and would be great for keeping the salad very fresh. I love the food in jars. That is how I take my lunch to work. I must look at the book.
Great photos!

I've been eyeing off those jars for making pot set yoghurt. ( in Tenina's book coming soon). Did you buy them online or locally JulieO? Your salad looks delicious.

Thanks Boo and Cookie.  :D

I got the jars on-line from here and they do have store in WA Cookie.  Just click on the one you like and there is a pull down window saying where they are available in your state.

I bought an assortment of different shapes and sizes, but really like the one featured in the above photo.  :D

Lovely idea Julie, you must have a great collection of books with different ideas.

Thanks JulieO. I have to go near a Wheel and Barrow store tomorrow. If the weather isn't too lousy I will call in.

Thanks for the jar info JulieO.
I think I am just as addicted to buying jars as I am to buying cook books!
So a "salads in jars" cookbook is a double whammy!!!

Boo, I think there are far worse addictions to have. Everyone benefits from this one.  ;D

Cookie, I hope you find some you like.  :)

Judy, yes I tend to latch onto something and go crazy for a little while before going on to the next thing.  Am enjoying this one though.  ;D

I rarely open those early books these days Denise but with Easter coming this was an excellent one to bump for those with the book.
