Your dinner sounds very tasty Cookie. Sometimes these thrown together meals turn out really well.
We are having Chickpea, Bacon & Feta Patties tonight. The recipe is from a diabetic magazine.

They sound very nice Margaret. Do the chickpeas get smashed up?

DD cooking lamb pies. I am taking TMX mashed potatoes and salad. Will also make a chocolate pud .
Still getting used to size of oven. Certainly NOT to my liking.

I can't remember the size of your oven in Cherokee Chookie. What have you at Invermay, a 600mm wide oven perhaps? Are you planning on installing a larger oven (or a second oven), is it possible?

Enjoy your Dinner Mab.
Judy, my oven at Cherokee is a double oven St. George. I chose it because the door opens side ways and both oven are large.
The oven at Invermay is a Miele with a separate microwave that has a grill element at the top. It cooks well but is far too small for the baking that I like to do. Will be difficult to replace because of the design of the kitchen. Next trip over, I will bring the AF. This may help.

I hope you enjoyed the Italian meal Margaret. It inspired me. My brother is over from ACT and is coming for dinner tomorrow night so I have decided to go Italian. Possibly Lasagne, a garlic/herb pull apart and a light salad. I have done a sort of Chocolate Icecream cake for dessert, with a fudge sauce.

Thanks Cookie & Chookie my Italian meal last night was delicious. It was sliced strips of beef fillet with choped tomatoes, mushrooms & onion with a white wine cream sauce served on a bed of tagallatini. Just can't remember what it was called
A big serving and more than I could eat.
