I smoked a chicken on the weber tonight, had with potatoes, kumara, beans, peas and carrots. Oh and used the smoke flavoured meat juices and made a gravy.....

Out to a family dinner tonight for GD's 17th birthday

I was looking on-line for a new lasagne recipe and this one came up.  Thought it sounded a bit different with the roasted capsicums in it so I gave it a try.  Chopped all the veg in the TM and used a 800g can of chopped Italian toms that I pureed in the TM instead of buying a bottle of passata.  The recipe made a lovely, thick, tasty meat sauce, one I will definitely make again.

I made a double lot of lasagne sheets with the Philips and used the cheesy sauce from the forum.  Served with a simple salad DH really enjoyed it.    Has been cut up and frozen in single lots now for DH for work.

I had the second serve of a salad in a jar recipe called 'Prawn cocktail pasta jar'.  Photo taken yesterday with dappled light causing problems but the meal itself was really good and full of flavour.

CC, that sounds interesting. I have a packet of frozen prawns, might give it a go.
I adapted Neil Perry's Lemon Chicken recipe to cook in the oven, loved it.

We had 'make your own burgers' tonight. I tried out the Spiraliser that came with the KA for chips. I cooked them in the AF. It is ever so easy to use and very little washing up. It comes all beautifully packed in a special storage box.

I made this SC meal tonight https://cooktopcove.com/2016/04/20/slow-cooker-makes-bbq-chicken-steamed-corn-and-cheesy-potatoes-all-inone substituting chicken drumsticks for thighs and some of Trudy's apricot sauce from the freezer for the BBQ sauce.  I added the corn 3 hours into the cooking and both the chicken and corn were lovely but I wouldn't do the potatoes in foil again, I had to give them 5 minutes in the microwave as everything else was cooked but even then they remained hard.  I don't know if it was the potatoes I used or whether they'd been in the SC too long (8.5 hours).

Might have been the type of potatoes Judy, but strange they were still hard after being microwaved.

I made a slow cooker sausage and potato casserole in the SC today and the potatoes cooked quicker than I expected them to.
