think we need a new topic "What was made Yesterday" for slow pokes like me. Made a marinade for some chops, and had the Pear and Nut salad to go with it for a bbq last night. Have been meaning to make this salad for yonks and got the pear juice and walnut oil from the health shop. Also made cookies Choc and Cranberry biccies. Delicious!

mmn I've made the coconut milk too JO and love it. Hate openng up a can and seeing all that grey stuff hanging around the sides. Theres nothing on the can that warns you that its okay to consume.

I know what you mean CP, plus it's so easy to make and works out much cheaper than buying it which is a bonus too.

Tonight is Chicken Kiev, slow roasted tomatoes (in the oven), steamed aparagus and parsley potatoes. Followed by flop birthday cake served with Chookie's chocolate mousse.

Tonight I made a really tasty meal using a Nigella recipe. It's called lamb with rosemary & port. It was so simple and quick and yet tasted so good, basically olive oil and worc sauce mixed together and smeared over the meat, which was then cooked in a frypan until done to our liking. While it was resting, added a knob of butter to the pan, added some chopped fresh rosemary, let that cook for a min, then added a crushed fat garlic clove and then 3 tbs port and the juices from the meat. Allowed it to sizzle and reduce down for a min then drizzled it over the meat. Was really good with a baked potato and vegies.

Last night we went out for dinner to the local pub. I had chicken stuffed with Camembert and fig. YUM my favourite dish there.

Yes it was served on a bed of mashed sweet potato and creamy garlic sauce poured over the top.

Yes it does sound delicious, I particulary like a meal that one of our local bistros serve; chicken breast stuffed with camembert, served with lemon pepper butter.
Today I made a recipe from a book received at Christmas called Pasta for the family. The recipe I think is called Spinach Fettuccine served with spinach sauce and roast tomatoes.
Instead of using shop bought spinach pasta I made my own. I did cook the sauce on the stove top and then blitzed in the TM to create a lovely smooth green sauce which was mixed with the cooked fettuccine and then served with roasted roma toms. Was really good, much nicer than what the photo suggests.
