I’m now on a very low fat diet.  Not much fun.  I could send Judy all the butter and oil over.

Oh, Chookie, you will find this change to your diet challenging.  I hope you are able to come to terms with it soon.  Michael Mosley (it is him behind the 5:2 and Fast 800 diets) has a book called the Heart Blood diet, or something like that.  It may be worth getting your hands on a copy, it should be in the local book store ... if not, let me know and I'll pick one up for you.

I’m going well here. Bacon, egg and mushrooms for breakfast, beef salad for lunch and I’ll be making chicken soup for tea. Last night I made a rosti out of turnip seeing as I can’t eat potato, surprising what you can find to take the place of forbidden foods. I think a low calorie diet is harder Chookie, I was always hungry on that diet but with Keto I’m not looking for snacks between meals at all. I often don’t have tea until 7 because I’m just not hungry. Good luck Chookie. Marina your meals sound delicious.

Marina, thanks.  I do have that book and hadn’t thought to use it. Will now. The enzyme pills and cutting out most fat seems to be working.
Judy I couldn’t agree more.  The fat certainly fills you up. Protein also helps. I do miss the butter.

I follow my good old diabetic sort of diet. I know I could cut back and lose some more weight, but I do like my food.
I have 2 weetbix for breakfast and a cup of tea. I use hi-lo milk on the weetbix. Lunch is some sort of protein, often a tin of tuna and heaps of salad. with 2 slices of sourdough bread for my carbs. Dinner is whatever is going, making sure I have good carbs, protein and lots of vegies. I have a skim milk coffee in the am and then another in the pm. Sometimes a bit of fruit too.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I jumped on the scales at gym today, been going there since late July twice a week. I started the Keto diet 10 days ago - I was 8 kgs lighter much to my surprise. I’ve never been able to diet and exercise at the same time but it’s obviously paying off.
Wow Judy that’s amazing.

I dugout a batch of Beef Bourguignon from the freezer and a portion of mash that DS had given us. Served them with steamed sprouts.

Cookie that sounds pretty good.
CC, I keep thinking about you and cooking in the caravan. You seem to be eating well.
Last night I made Black pepper and Sage Risotto from my Blog. I added some prawns and salmon at the end.  It was delicious and enough for Dinner tonight also. I’ll just add a little water and reheat in the microwave.

Well done to those of you who are dieting.  I know I should lose a bit of weight but I just don't have the will power at the moment.

We are having fresh flake for dinner tonight, caught by DS.  Will have small roast potatoes /chips done in the AF with beans & baby carrots as well.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

The Black pepper and Sage Risotto is very tasty.  I cut the butter in half and the 2 teaspoons of Black Pepper may be a bit strong for some people.  The fresh sage leaves are fab when crisped in the butter.
I also stirred a packet of small prawns in at the end.  It reheats very well in Microwave with an extra bit of Chicken stock stirred in.

Dinner tonight is Coronation Chicken and salad as it is very warm today. Pears for Pud.

Well done Judy, you must be really chuffed about that weight loss.  I think we must have started our respective diets about the same time but you have well and truly put me to shame ... only 3 kgs so far, but so longs as the weight keeps going down I'm happy.
