Chicken Fried Rice from RTE. Its another 40+ here today. I am truly sick of it. I believe it will be less than 40 on Sunday! 39 or something.. We are having a car run but have decided we won't take an old car-we will take one that is air conditioned.

It becomes depressing doesn’t it cookie.  We’re not so hot over here, mid 30’s after a couple of hotter days but it plays havoc with my appetite, just not interested in food in hot weather.  A bit lucky to not have anyone else to feed as the way I’m feeling these days they’d probably have to organise their own meals these days.

A rolled roast. I will cook it in the Easy Cook out in the laundry so as not to heat the kitchen.

I don't envy you Cookie, that sort of prolonged heat is horrible (by my reckoning, anything over 1 day is prolonged!)

I totally agree Marina. It's only 27 at the moment (10.45am) and I've done heaps of housework. It has been a bit neglected the last week or so.
Tonight's dinner is a meat pie. Something a bit different to stir fries and main meal salad.

Same here. Prawn salad for lunch. Duck and grilled peach salad for dinner.
Last night we had fruit salad for Dinner.

We are having a stir fry. DD will be late as they are playing covid at work. She is over it. She is very angry as a Mother and child were directed to sit with all other people at ED on the weekend. The mother had told the triage person that both she and the child had covid. Apparently the Mother had rung through before this to try and make arrangements but was fobbed off. Not a good thing to happen.
