We had Skinnymixers macaroni cheese with a twist tonight. I made it the other night, but DS didn't like it - the Parmesan was vey strong. So tonight I made it with just cheddar cheese. I thought it was beautiful, but DS didn't like it either. This time I don't think it was a taste thing, though. I think it's a texture thing. It feels very different to be Kraft one we would normally have.

Made a batch of steak and mushroom filling then used the pie maker to make several pies for tonight and the freezer.  The shortcrust I used was from the everyday cookbook and it worked well with frozen puff on the top.

I had the same problem with my two DS's until I used the Kraft cheese (you know that processed stuff sold in blue cardboard near the honey) and they are now requesting it!

That's the cheese I used, Kimmy. But with the vegetables, even though you can't taste them, it changes the texture, and because he's so sensitive to sensory input, it'll take some work to get him used to it. I hope that's what it is anyway. I would love to have a meal with vegetables in it instead of relying of V8 juice... :-/

Last night we had Classic Italian Meatballs from Recipe Tin East served with potatoes and veg instead of pasta.  They were very nice.  Tonight will be home made pies from the freezer.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Made Chicken Kiev.  It is a lovely recipe. 500 g chicken does us 2 meals. Followed by roasted chestnuts.

We had dinner with the people we travelled up with. We had crumbed fish, salad of spinach, Beetroot, feta and toasted pine nuts and a tossed salad. It was light and lovely. We ate it under the stars, so very near to perfect.

Some lovely meals there girls.  Eating out under the stars sounds nice to me cookie.

How good is the a/f for heating and browning a serve for 1 - yesterday's cottage pie made 5 individual serves.
