Tonight I had TMX mushroom risotto with garlic prawns.
The dining room at the Royce was lovely. The food very good. Being a small hotel the service is excellent.

It’s cold, and wet here, so we’re having vegetable soup from Cookidoo, with a tin of butter beans or chick peas thrown in and cheesies.

Corn chowder and creamy vegetables with pasta.

I am not doing much cooking at home yet, just very simple things.  I am not sure if I totally trust my balance and strength with handling hot food yet but I hope to be given the OK to drive again when I see my surgeon next week so I can re-start my weekly routine of getting away to our home in the country at the weekends and a fully stocked kitchen pantry

Are you itching to get back to cooking Marina?
I’m making steak and mushroom pies for dinner tonight. We will sit down with them and tomato sauce and watch our footy team be badly beaten. 😀😀😀😀😀 It will still be fun.

I am absolutely desperate to get back cooking, Cookie.  The kitchen here in the city is lovely, but it hasn't got much space and just isn't geared up for much variety or cooking.
