Last night I microwaved a corn cob, with the husk still on. 3 minutes.
Tonight, pumpkin veggie soup and grilled smoked salmon and coleslaw.

We always do our corn that way now Chookie, quick, easy and tasty.
We had Chicken and Mushrooms in a creamy sauce tonight, chilli potatoes in the AF and peas. Bread and Butter pudding and Creamed rice for dessert.

Gosh, I have picked up two new ideas on here in the last week - Judy's poached eggs on mashed root veges and now Chookie's microwaved corn - I think I heard somewhere that it is easier to remove the silks if the corn is cooked, is that right?  I have always shucked the husk off and pulled the silk away before boiling them.  A whole new method for me to try!

It’s dead easy to throw them in the microwave Marina. I cut off the end before cooking (not the top) for easy removal of the corn at the end of cooking.

Beef casserole for the men with potato mash, steamed greens and carrots.    I'm having trouble eating again so I'm back on thin soup and custard.

I found some mince stew in the freezer so blitzed it with a can of tomato soup and added some Sustagen, I really enjoyed it - 3 easy meals for me.

We are an experimental lot. !
I found that cutting the ends off after cooking much easier than before. And yes the husk does come off easier after cooking.
Tonight, grilled eye fillet and salad.
