I tried this last night, and to be quite honest...it didn't blow me away. DD liked it, but I thought it was average. The mince mixture was very sloppy even though I only put 85g water in, and the corn scones were quite dryish. 1/4 tsp cayenne is sufficient for us. Probably wouldn't make it again, but we have leftovers so its on the menu again tonight  :D

What did you mean by 'the mince mixture' CP? - didn't you use stir fry strips?

Made this tonight
Used udon noodles as all I had in pantry
I added more meat
Doubled cornflour, mirin and soy sauce
Added only 1/4 tsp of chilli and still too hot for kids (next time will leave out)
Cooked for 7 minutes

Rated 3.5/5 from my fussy lot.....though they did eat most of it :-\

I (finally!) made this tonight and it was nice.  But it burnt the bottom of my jug.  Just in one spot, but it covers about 1/4 of the bottom.  Anyone got any ideas why?  Hopefully the vinegar trick will get it off as scrubbing after a soak did nothing!

Hi Clare,
What speed did you cook on? This tends to happen whenever I use the  ^^ setting so I always use at least speed 1 or 1.5.

Hi Kerryn,

Sorry, I only just saw your message.  I would have cooked it on  ^^ as that's what the recipe says.  Will try speed 1 next time!  I thought I might try using the paddle (proper name escapes me!) as well to see if that will help move the meat around!
