It is a shame, but then again Meagan if it is correct then people have the right to do as they feel is right. If you happen to be incorrect then you can stand corrected  ;D ;D and we can all go about adding our recipes again.  :-* :-*

I think I'll just wait til Meagan hears back from Tenina - if the recipes can't be on my blog and in the competition, they'll be disqualified anyway.   :(

I'm reluctant to have too much to do with RC because they have access to our isp address and can work out who we are and where we live (i think - i know the police can tell where emails come from from the isp address), so all they have to do is link up our isp with the isp we used to register on (is big brother making me paranoid??).

Anyone on ANY forum with admin (or on some forums even moderator) rights can access your ISP address and joint he dots so to speak.

I also think its unethical and was glad someone PM'd me to let me know about this forum.

I'm not 100% positive but I was under the impression that all recipes uploaded with a photo, on the RX forum would be owned by HO TMX and could be entered into the competition without your needing to say yes or no.

Me too!  But how do I take them out of the competition???

Just click 'Save As Draft' and also unchoose the competition area and your recipe will be removed from the published content.

Ah, thanks.  I'll wait until Meagan hears back though to be sure - my salmon salad pizza is the featured recipe today, so can't really pull it off!!  :D

I feel the concern is very real Meagan. The other day I was looking through a sort of new WW book at the shops and would you believe I saw a recipe I had sent in to them to try and win a competition a couple of years ago. I had actually invented it over time. I didn't win the competition! I don't really care that much as I'm over that. I sometimes think magazines etc ask people to send in recipes and then they use them as their own. I don't blame them as there must be only so many things you can create.

Off the soap box now.

Cookie, I would write to them and claim your recipe, if I were you.

I'm in that sort of mood today. I've emailed three different companies! SPC to tell them their tinned spaghetti and baked beans are too full of liquidy sauce and not enough beans or pasta, another to Bulla to tell them I hate their new Ice Cream containers and another to Ethical.org to tell them that Gaia Baby Products no longer use pure essential oil, but components of it to fragrance their products.

I've been on my soapbox all day!
