Well I though all was well but I got my orthotics fitted on Friday and a new pair of shoes on the same day yesterday was fine and this morning but this arvo I am really sore and swollen  :'( :'( I drove DH 's car ( a manual) to deliver 3tms this morning. Nothing too strenuous, so I am feeling quite despondent. I will have to go and have an MRI scan I think ( the sports physician gave me a thingy to have one done if it swelled again) I was counting down the days till I could exercise properly again  :'( :'( :'( :'(

That's the way to go Meagan, pull out the big guns and find out what the problem is.

Poor Meagan. It wouldn't be the orthotics causing too much turning or something would it? I only ask as I had a pair once that I had trouble with.
It's wise to have the MRI, then you will know what course of action to take.

Sorry to hear about your knockback Meagan.    I hope it eases up soon.

I have orthotics in my shoes and I  find that when I get a new pair, I can only wear them for a few hours to begin with as they need "breaking in".   I tend to wait too long before getting the new pair so that the old ones have worn down and my legs then have to get used to walking at the positions created by the new ones.

It sounds like it's going to be worth having the MRI anyway so you know what's going on.

Good luck  :-* :-*

Gee, that is horrid. You were lucky to get an MRI done today with the public holiday.

The more I think about it the more I think I overdid it with the orthotics. The dr told me to wear them as much as possible. I can't find the piece of paper that was in the packet which probably says to take it slowly, based on my googling :-)) :-))  :'(

orthotics should only been worn for a few hours to start with gradually building up to wearing them full time.
Hope your knees get better soon. It not much fun having bad knees, been there.
Ice packs help with the swelling and lots of rest, which is probably hard with little ones.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

* Update *
I had my knee drained this afternoon 60ml of fluid came out  :-X :o and another injection of cortisone went in. I will have another injection before going to Dubai to make sure I don't experience the same thing while away. Then on return i need an arthroscopy done  >:( which means Thermomix demos etc will be on hold for a bit  :'( . At least I feel less pressure and can walk with one crutch.
