We got one a few years ago and love it have two gas bottles and easy to replace as you can even change them over in the supermarket. We got a few bottles and half size which are great too. Like Chookie don’t use the syrups ever , we may use cordial occasionally. Piece of lemon in the glass after . So easy . Over summer we fill the bottles up and keep in the fridge then when go to use it it’s pre chilled to zap. Saves money and storage.

We've also had a soda stream for years. We just make soda water too. Sometimes add lemon or lime. DD has iceblocks made from fruit teas to flavour hers. It costs $19 to swap the old cylinder for as new one at Coles or Woolies.

I found a lovely lemon and ginger syrup recipe for the sodastream so made that.  Very sweet so will make another batch with less sugar.

I went to the Garden and Flower show yesterday.  As usual, it was overwhelming and I only got to see a fraction during the 2 hours I was there, but despite the huge temptations, I did manage to keep my purchases to a few things ... none of them flowers or plants, though, just a mossie repellent candle and a 'vacuum' window cleaner.  Ral had mentioned that he and Chookie had one of these on one of my visits to them and I had always kept my eye open to buy one so, what was I to do when I saw one demonstrated at the show, I just had no choice, I paid the lovely lady and walked away with one.  I am looking forward to trying it at home as we have so many windows there the window washing is always a pet hate and I am hoping this will make the chore more manageable.  Ral ... it is a different make to yours, but hopefully will work just as well.

I was sorely tempted by a swinging chair (one that you hang from the rafters or a VERY STRONG ceiling anchor point).  Incredibly comfortable but I resisted.

I love coming across an item that’s on my want list, it usually is somewhere we are not expecting to find it and we just have to have it. I hope it lives up to your expectations.

The flower/gardening show sounds wonderful Marina. As does the vacuum window cleaner. You showed lots of restraint.

Looks like my week for shopping this week. Bought a 200 lt chest freezer, something I had been wanting for years but never seemed to get around to it, but when we got an instrument in with woodworm it became a necessity as freezing the instrument will kill the worm, so the workshop got part of the freezer and I got part of it as well ... as they say, a win win for everyone.

A chest freezer is of no use to me as I can’t reach the bottom. 😀😀😀😀😀
We used to take one to Monkey Mia years ago and take prepared food up with us. It was much smaller though.

Marina, we had one of those chairs 53 years ago. How I know the date is that we used it to put DD in as a baby. It would move gently and she would sleep and we would get some peace.
I haven’t done any grocery shopping for 2 weeks, except for fresh milk.

Finally succumbed to temptation and purchased an air fryer.  Just a relatively cheap one to see how it goes initially.  So far I have unpacked it and am desperate to use it, but that will wait until the weekend.  In the interim I will be reading all the air fryer comments and recipes.

Marina, like Judy I love mine too.  They are so handy, I use mine for chips & roast veg, small roasts, potato bake, heating pies etc but there are many other uses for it at well.

Marina, you will love it. I bought one for my SIL for helping me . He loved it so much that he bought his mum one.
