Maddy, the yummy chicken dish you had the other night for dinner, was it from the latest  delicious magazine?

Tanks
Hally

Was in the Delicious "simply the best" cook book, it's not in latest mag, but I know it was in one of them, which, not sure.
Can type it up if you like?

I hope Rizzo can be fixed maddy.

She is fixable, but at what cost....I'm not sure  :-\.....still, it would have to be cheaper than replacing her....one hopes anyway  :P

I bought a cupcake carrier from C*les supermarket today. It will carry 24 cupcakes, and there is even a baking tray to cook them in. Not too large for a carrier. $15 well spent. They come in pink & blue, and I got the blue one.

Another one here that doesn't get on with the TMX spatula. I put it partly down to being left handed, I tend to nick it slightly and just fid it hard to use near the blades. Keep meaning to try and pick up a silicon spatula but havent got there yet (nor a brush for easy cleaning under the blades)

i use more my tupperware spatulas than the thx one..i dont likeit either and there has been chatter about this before..if only they would make the same spatula but one wxith a silicon end (spatula bit that is flexible like the tupp ones) and as for cleaning the blades I use the good old baby bottle brushes...i keep two on my sink but a sink or dish brush with long bristles would also work...i got one at ikea that also works well  :)

Yes I also hate the TMX spatula only use it to remove the insert basket and when making sorbet.

I bought a set of 3 spatulas from www.chefstoolbox.com for $35.00

I've got silicone spatulas in every shape and size - just can't resist when something "new" appears.
The ones I use most are the Rubbermaid high-temp ones that have strong, rigid handles and come in several sizes, from very large to medium small.  The upper part of the "blade" is fairly rigid and the end part is more flexible so it curves to fit the contour of a bowl or pot.
I don't know if they are available in Australia. - A dog-breeder friend visiting here from Ireland last year bought a bunch to take home as she said the ones where she lived were not as versatile and were not as heat resistant.  She bought several of the extra large ones to use in cooking and mixing dog food after giving mine a try.

I'm another silicone spatula fan as well, although I do use the TMX one on occasion - usually when my silicone ones are waiting to be washed!

I have a utensils container full of them beside the TM I they are all shapes and sizes, I tend to grab the one the suits what I am stirring or getting out the best, some are very flexible some not so. At the end of a big cooking session the container is usually empty. I do only use my TM one down the hole or for getting out the basket like most people.

I use silicon spatulas from Aldi which came in a set of three sizes, I find the small one fantastic but the large one was too big so I ditched it. The TMX spatula I just use to remove rice and if I need to stir something while the blades are moving.

Maddie - are you able to PM me the recipe as well?
