Thanks Amanda. I looked when I shopped yesterday but they didn't have it out. Will check before the offer finishes.

I went car shopping with DD2 and helped her buy a 'new to her' car.  It was not fun. She can be very indecisive and after a half day of looking for a diesel space cab 4wd tray back ute she says maybe I'll get a Falcon XR6 ute.

maddy do you take your pics off the web somehow or from photo's that you have taken? I'm always surprised that you always have a pic for everything you buy.

ha ha DD - gotta laugh!

Thanks AmandaN - went and picked up the freebies. Philly cheese seems to have found its way into the shopping trolley of late and so I just had to check out the recipe book.

This is for Frozzie. I hope she sees it. An obviously irresistible baguette!

Seen it 😊😊 and was thinking wow woman im impressed as it looks like a 'proper' baguette.. And not your stock standard type either but more like tradition or the many other types.. I thought you made it and was gob smacked lol.. Did they sell it just as a baguette or did it have a specific name??

Will let dh know that you can get actual baguettes in certain parts of oz lol.. He always says to me if we moved to oz that he would miss cheese bread and charcuterie.. More the air dried/cured types which im sure are banned in oz??

Anyhoo thanks for the pic gretch.. Bet it was yum 😃

Dashingden I have to admire a girl that wants a ute. My DD has a 4 x 4. One of her best friends started out with a hilux ute.

I love my Dyson as well Julie. I brought my first one 8 years ago and sadly it ended a tragic death (ran over by DH after cleaning his 4x4 :( )
Then I got my new Dyson. I also have a hand held dyson.
They are great little suckers :)

No Julie he was too scared to tell me what had happened.
He now uses a cheap vacuum cleaner for those kind of jobs.

Gretch just out of curiosity what did they charge you or the baguette?

Bought it from a newly opened "French" bakery owned by Vietnamese lady I think and it was $3.90. I also bought a country style rye loaf which was $6.50. Yikes! They were both excellent quality and worth the price . I am pretty sure the  baguette was made in the traditional way by the look and shape. They were all different in the bucket  they were sold from.

Yup no such thing as a charcuterie in Cairns but you may find  one in Sydney or Melbourne and you are right they would not be selling all that good stuff. Not even a decent  delli in Cairns.

Gretchen, agree with you, no decent deli in Cairns.
We have nothing here at all on the tablelands.

I bought a really good salami once at the IGA inAtherton but that is about it. Il Convivio opposite Cairns Central  is ok but not a big range . There is a real need here I say. Smithfield Centre tried to get Jones the Grocer from Sydney to open a shop but it came to nothing.

There was a great but short lived Italian/Asian shop opposite . Pity it didn't last .
