Maddie, my DS wanted those runners on the weekend and I refused to buy them because of the cost, runners are so expensive.

They are, and particularly with boys who play lots of sport & are hard on their shoes!
We have tried many out, from cheap to expensive...these runners with that particular type of sole, are the only ones that last DS 1/ 1 & 1/2 school terms....all the others have fallen  to bits by then.  Unfortunately if they play footy at school, they perish quicker!

My Pandora is silver so not as expensive as the gold but I still might look at selling on ebay Mich, thanks for the idea.

Pandora sells well on eBay Wonder...or, maybe hold onto it for your Daughter?
My bracelet doubles as a watch, as I can't wear regular watches with plating on the straps or clips...just irritates my skin like crazy...not sure if you can still get them, but it slides on like a charm, and I get many comments on it

My sister had a Tupperware party, I went along with all intentions of not buying anything. But you know what it's like when you feel obligated to buy something. So I brought a microwave jug, cost me $81 :o
Not cheap but will be very useful

Went in to Bob Jane this morning, expecting to change 2 tyres.  Drove out with 4 instead. Ouch!

Bought a slick iPhone 5C in the afternoon. But for my BIL, not me :( Our birthday gift for his 50th.

Thank goodness I received my Thermomix kitchen toolkit yesterday. Woohoooo! 😄

Sometimes you need to watch bob jane and other similar places.. I went into one to top up the nitrogen in my tyres and the guy starts to talk me into needing new tyres.. Told him maybe he should try that on someone else as one my tyres were perfect and two the car was only 4 months old lol.. Unfortunately heard of another mum going to same place and being told she needed to replace all of her tyres... Makes you wonder.. Grrr

BZB that was a bit of an expensive day. Love the thermo kit. Let us know what it is like.
It's great to see you back on here after your busy music time.

I took delivery today of 2 Scottish Highland Titles, a wedding present for a good friend and his soon to be wife whom I've only met once. Hope she has a sense of humour! Entitles them to call themselves "laird" & "lady", no doubt a complete scam but thought it would be a bit of fun. I also got them a tea towel which says "I own an estate in Scotland" - well 2 square feet of it!

Beautiful Maddy - I keep a nutcracker in my entry way all year round. I'm of German heritage and traditionally they are a symbol of protection for your home - that's why they bare their teeth.  :D
