After using it for a while, I have to say that the fabric steamer at less than $100 was a good buy. It is proving itself very useful, especially for delicate, fiddly and difficult to iron items. No good for silk or for things where you want a crease. But other than that it's great and has decreased ironing time. Better still, some household members are using it to "iron" their own clothes because it's easier to use than the iron. Huge plus  ;D

Sounds promising, djinni :) Would it be good for heavy curtains?

What brand is it? Is it bulky when storing?

I bought six pairs of shoes for $130 marked down from $400 at Williams. It's a good thing the fire alarm evacuated everyone lol.

Also bought a dress at myer and three tops for $5.

Just need new hair now!

Not sure about really heavy curtains BZB. First, the hose that the steam travels through is not very long and you would have to stand it on a chair or small table to reach the top and bottom of full length curtains. Second, I use the steamer to get the worst crinkles and kinks out of jeans but it by no means a perfect finish ( I am quite impatient tho ;D).  I think I will use it on my curtains (without the thermal backing) if necessary. You know the old trick of hanging curtains while they are still just damp to minimise creases right?
It is a Phillips Gf506 garment steamer. They have several models. This is the newest I think.
As for storage I'm ashamed to say that it not stored but sits in a corner of what we call the rumpus room because it is used every day. It is quite compact so I would imagine storage would not be a problem. (The shirt in the pic is a women's size 12)

CP I bought it at Myers. It has a two year warranty. I can't think of anything else ???

New mattress for our bed arrived today, popped out to buy a new mattress protector and came home with new sheets and a quilted quilt cover. Oops
Here's a photo I found on the web.

Last week we had a new front door installed
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Yes to both of them Jen, gorgeous.  Many years ago we had a lovely front door similar to yours (without the left hand panel though) and if I could have bought anything from that house with me it would have been that door.  Our glass panel opened and had a security screen on it.
