So are my children... We have bilingual scales too and cup measurements...
DD rang for a recipe today... An old favourite... In ounces... We laughed... She is 26 and only learnt imperial cooking with me.

Is buying scales which have both on cheaper?
Just don't mix the two 'languages' mid recipe as they are not quite the same... LOL

Gosh $60 is a tiny bit expensive. I do like Jo's recipes though.
CP don't buy another book. I have a conversion sheet from a very early Margaret Fulton book and can copy it for you. I used to have it on my pantry door in the other house, but am ok now.
DJ, like you I am bilingual for cooking.
I did have scales that weighed in both metric and imperial but they died. My new ones are metric only.
As DJ says, just use one or the other, don't mix them.

Cp, just type "convert xx oz into gram" etc into good ol' google and you'll get the measurement. I used to bookmark conversion pages on my browser but can't be bothered remembering which page was easiest to use 😁

Oh you girls are so sensible and right  I probably shouldn't (even though it's so much easier...) I should be able to find a conversion in a book somewhere. I wonder if the ingredients are known by "different" names for overseas stuff

Well I finally did it, I went out and bought a sunbeam vacuum sealer. Have wanted one of these for some time now so can't wait to use it.
