Bread and butter pudding it is. Thanks CC. I  made half into a trifle so the rest can be B and B pudding.

Thank you all for being nice about my memory.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D My mind wasn't on the job that is for sure.

Probably a bit late to reply. You can crumble up the cake and bake on a lined tray at 120c until dry and use as you would biscuits in a cheesecake base. I did it recently with chocolate cake. Great use of leftovers, especially cake creation offcuts.

Another oops here today. I made a SD loaf late yesterday and popped it into the fridge overnight. This morning I took it out to let it rise some more. We have been out most of the day, but I thought it would be fine as SD rises slowly. It sort of overflowed. DH carefully cut off all the over flow bits with scissors and baked it. He thought it was great.

Crunchy bits of baked dough would be cookie, the crust is the best part of bread I reckon. Great idea of DH's.

Today I made some impossible quiches (using a recipe from The Mother Hubbard's Cupboard blog - with modifications). I decided to make 6 individual ones, instead of a large quiche. I was worried about them sticking in the pan (even though I did grease it) so I placed some paper strips in the pan to make in easier to remove the quiches.

I obviously wasn't thinking about it being a fairly liquid mix and its ran under the paper and now I have my paper strips stuck in the middle of the quiches. Duh!

Guess I'm going to have to remove the paper and the crust along with it. Perhaps I'll just call them frittata's.

Ive done the same thing before Katie  ;)  But when I pulled my bits of paper out, some tore off and stayed in the middle of the quiches ……. I just got people to pick them out when they ate them!  I love the tin you made them in though - where did you get that?

PS:  I just looked at that blog - looks like a great cooking blog!  But I couldn't find the recipe for impossible quiche ….. could you post a link please Katie?

They look lovely Katie, perhaps just cover the bottom with baking paper next time or maybe cake release would do the job.
