It is in the little family room I have created at the end of the kitchen, just a few steps from my TMX - much quicker to access than trying to find them previously in the pantry.

The cabinet fits in well and is incredibly convenient to the TMX, it will make your cooking life much easier.

Chookie this was one element of my kitchen that I loved from the moment we moved in - soft close drawers. The pantry drawers have the same soft close mechanism on them as all our kitchen drawers.  Obviously due to the size of the drawers and consequently the weight in them,  when building I asked for the 50kg soft close runners on all drawers in the kitchen - meaning the maximum weight which can be placed in the drawers.  The soft dampers on the drawers work like a slow moving piston allowing you to give the drawer a very slight push and acting as a buffer when the drawer closes softly and smoothly with no noise - omitting the bang that would occur on such large drawers Mind you when I am in another kitchen I have to be so careful as I have a tendency to walk away leaving the drawer opened or it closes with a huge bang!!!! Hope this answered your query!!!!  :)  :)

Drawers are wonderful in the kitchen.  I must take a photo of my spice drawer and post it.  I am rather proud of it!

I have spent four hours on this thread - haven't been on the forum for a while except to check on recipes so my unread posts are impossible to catch up on. I love looking at evetryone's kitchen and attach a few of mine. We built our house two years ago and our kitchen works really well for us. I also attach one of me relaxing in my specially made chair.

Your kitchen looks great, Shayla, very compact but work(wo)man like.  Love your curtains, too.  Being on the edge of a golf course must have some benefits - hope you are a player????
