Tonight I made the Five-spice sweet & sour meatballs, except mine disintergrated in the bowl, all except for 1  :-)).  Didn't matter because it tasted good and it looked like this is how it's supposed to look like anyway  ;D

I only left a few seeds in the chilli, but for some reason it was quite hot today, so have made a note for myself to completely deseed next time.  There were a couple more little tweaks to suit our tastes, but was thoroughly enjoyed.  :D

What a lovely rich colour that mince is JulieO - love the way you perched the one and only meatball on the top  :D

Not too many recipes left to review in Dinner Spinners, Tenina will be pleased so many have been tried and reviewed here.

I am waiting on the new book in jan to get both of her books at the same time...i hate giving so much towards Australia Posts profit margin lol so will wait for just the one lot of postage!  Oh and as her book wasnt in until jan i treated myself to in the mix and demonstator delights as well (thanks for the tip off CC that they had arrived in the UK  :-*) ...still cost me a small fortune as they had to send it by courier...but not as much as oz !

Tenina, can you tell me if the 'dinner spinner' recipes are in the new book? Or in addition to? I've ordered Dinner Spinners for a friend but thought I'd wait and get the other book for myself when it comes out. Should I get both?
Can't wait until Saturday when I'm giving my friend her copy... bet she'll be thrilled!

Hi Deedub, no repeats from Dinner Spinner in the big book…

And not sure what happened with the breaking up of the meatballs, did you cook them in oven as directed first? Pic is still gorgeous JulieO... ;D ;D

Another lovely  Dinner Spinner Winner here tonight. The slow cooked Chilli Pork. I actually used beef. The flavours in it are really something. I see why everyone liked it so much, me too.

Tenina, yes I did cook the balls in the oven first, they were quite firm when I put them in the bowl.  I think it may be because I only formed small balls, not a fan of big balls  ;D I think they just couldn't handle the  moving around in the bowl.  No matter it still tasted great, I think next time I will try keeping them warm from the oven and  just add them to the cooked capsicums and sauce at the end of cooking and combine.  They should def stay together then.  :)

Thanks for your nice comments girls.  :D

Today I made the Pesto Chicken Pinwheels.  I did cheat a little, only because I had some basil pesto made already in the fridge.  I used that up and followed the rest of the recipe.

Another enjoyable meal and the baked potato went really well with this as well as a dollop of my capsicum relish.  :)
