I've ordered mine and can hardly wait until it gets here : )  I hope it doesn't take too long to get all the way to Canada.  Maybe I should havew just taken a little holiday and come and picked one up.  I know my Husband has cousins in AU somewhere but no idea where.  They would be easy to find, right?  LOL

Hey Woerd, I know a couple of Canadians here in Melbourne - maybe they're your DH's cousins? LOL

For those who have both this and the Dani Valent book, which would you advise if we could only get one? it sounds like this has more everyday meals. Is there anywhere we can see a copy prior to purchasing? I'm a little nervous about buying site unseen as I was  dissapointed in the quality of the Dinner Spinners book and wouldn't have bought it if I had actually seen a copy first, I would however have been happy to just buy the app.

Wonder,  depends on what you like.  I have now had 3 things from Dani's book that either didn't work or I didn't like.  I have made 2 small things from Quick Fix,  both good.  So my personal preference would be this one. These recipes are mostly simple,  with easy instructions,  also the photos are good.  They give you a good idea of what to expect.  Like Judy,  there are plenty I want to make.

I have both. Given a choice I would pick Quick Fix. The recipes are easy and more "family friendly", and I have already cooked more from this book than Dani's book. See page one of this thread to follow chookies link on details about this book. There are 3 sample recipes which will give you an idea of how the book is presented.

I had a good read of In the Mix before sending it onto a friend in the UK and that was enough for me to decide it wasn't for me. I was reluctant to buy Quick Fix too as the index didn't do anything for me but having had the opportunity to receive mine and reading every recipe, looking at the pictures - yes, it is the preferred option for sure.

It's not unusual for me to be up that late Katie, especially when I have new recipe books or magazines to read. I received another subscription magazine in the mail today - a must read before the light goes out. Oh, I got that garden bed planted out this morning too so that's one job off my list now.

You get so much done everyday its amazing (but you are Superhero!!)

If i stayed up until that time I'd never make my train in the morning.

I'm glad to hear your enjoying the book  :)

Arrived bright and early this morning - beautifully packed, you could present it to a friend exactly as it comes - carefully wrapped in plain brown paper and tied and tagged with string - it comes already gift wrapped!!  Have just had a quick look through and it looks gorgeous!  I think I'll be doing tonight, JD, what you were doing! So far am delighted with it!! :) :) :)

They make lovely gifts for Thermomixing friends.  If you order more than one at a time, you don't get all that giftwrapping treatment for each one, but you do receive a much-appreciated discount for buying more at a time.
