AmandaN thanks for the good chuckle. I have a friend who desperately wants an Aldi coffee machine. I do not know why. She has a perfectly good one and there are no Aldi's in WA.

Helene thanks for that, it was very informative.

I want an Aldi coffee machine. So many of my work mates have them and apparently they are
really, really great. I have had a sunbeam and a very expensive De Longi machine and am
more impressed the Aldi one.

Wow, I've just logged on, what an interesting topic.  As for the Aldi coffee machine, friends have one in their caravan and say it is fab, they also have a DeLongi as do I. I have a Krupp's nespresso for my van but the coffee  pods  are so expensive .

Yes interesting AB and it is also  interesting to learn who is responsible for the Bellini. Just a few clicks on Google, will reveal who is  responsible.

Oh WOW  :o  There are a lot of spelling, grammatical and recipe errors in the rip off recipe book.  From the 'special' flour in the pizza. What is 'special' flour does anyone know?

Which cook book have they ripped off.  I have the Taste of India, the thai and the EDC and haven't seen some of these recipes in any of them.  I'm a bit queazy reading about gorgonzola rice mind you.

What is interesting is that the pdf recipe rip off site doesn't let me copy it.  I hope the real thermomix lawyers can get it.

Someone will be in for a surprise when they try to put 2.9kg worth of ingredients into the 2litre jug in the pumpkin rice  :-))

Its all shocking.

I just hope any prospective buyers find this forum and ask questions. The sad thing is people will buy this, go home happy thinking what a bargain, then realise they have wasted their money. People who would love a TM but maybe who cant afford.

I had a bit of a google look but couldn't see much info about them either. Guess it will take a little bit of time.
I'm very curious though.

Hally,  I am in the category of can't afford the TM..  And I love my TC..
The recipe book with the TC is basic to say the least,  But the recipes do work.
What worries me with this item is that even if it is a good machine,  So many buyers will be disillusioned if they try to use it with the recipes given.
I guess the up side is I may get to buy one as a spare from an op-shop when they start being discarded   ;D ;D ;D

What is a "lettuce bulb"???  or "1 small box of evaporated milk"????

And the instructions are terrible.  They are sooo confusing.

This is none of my business... and is also somewhat distasteful, so I prefer to say as little as possible.

Appears to be an Australian company based in Adelaide. Been around for a long time. They source and manufacture from China. In my opinion, they saw a trend and an opportunity and simply went into business with the machine. That said, they should have done due diligence and created their own recipes. I've been the victim of intellectual property theft in the past and it's no fun and sadly, all too common.

If this is enough of a concern to someone (ie, Vorwerk, or HO) they will find the facts for themselves (or their lawyers will do so).

Judy I will PM you some links . See  what you think.  Is Simon  Gerard a South Australian?

There is a lot of stuff about the company on the web. Not hard.

Looks like they might have already pulled the recipes down, when I clicked on the link it said it had either been removed or moved. Word travelled fast I guess!
