Washing Machine Goo (Detergent)

Have been using this for the last couple of days and really happy to report it works fantastic in a front loading machine 

I am using approx 100 ml (only because that is the scoop that I have  ) Definitely don't need any more that that, might work on seeing if you could get away with the less is more...

Will report back if I have any success

Pleased to hear that it has your approval, mine is great. I have also put some in a bucket today (tiny amount, blob of goo) and mopped the marble floor, looks and smells great, even with the ammonia!

So mine is not really like goo, more like foam, I hope I made it properly.

I washed towels yesterday and they seemed to come out okay, but I have a blocked nose so I have no idea if they smell good. They looked clean enough.

That's good to know about the floor, too.

Well, it looks like I will have to try this, especially as someone has already done the hard part for a top loader.
Has anyone had any allergic reactions to it at all?  I shouldn't think so with it only being pure soap.

It is great Cookie1.  Only negative thing I've heard from this end is that when Mum washed her fluffy dressing gown, she had white soap all over it for some reason which is hard to explain as it doesn't stick to track suits, towels etc. Apart from that we both love it and it is so cheap and easy to make.  I even have friends going home with the recipe to try and make it in their food processor but haven't heard back as to whether they have actually done it yet or not. Of course, I will make it for them if it isn't successful in their machines.

By the way, forgot to add, Mum just threw the dressing gown back into the washing machine and it came off.

Have got my M-I-L making the actual soap now, bit more complicated with recycling oil and using sosa (I think its called caustic in English) she is now making huge buckets of the stuff! we are thinking of going into business!!!

Hi Cookie...my DS (4yo) gets terrible eczema and we haven't had any problems so far. I don't expect any, as you say it is pure soap. It is normally all the other gunk they throw in the box that causes the problems. I love it.

Oh and on another note... it washes my kids dirty disgusting oily smelly (think I hate them lol) McDonalds work uniforms cleaner than anything else I have found - the oily sheen has disappeared from their pants (thank god they only work there part time!)

I washed my pot holders today which were in a pretty bad state and couldn't believe how clean they came out - just another testiment to the excellence of this goo. Ordinary washing powder never got them this clean. Also a friend took the directions home to try and make it in her food processor, have just spoken to her and yes, it was a success - she loves it too.

HI New to the forum and although 4 kids and working SO excited about the non-food recipes.  Will give it a go soon but meanwhile. If you add drops of lavender oil to the mix you will have not only gorgeous smelling clothes but also additional antibacterial!!!!! 1-3 drops max per wash.
Also can suggest geranium (1-3)... good anti depressive
lemon (1 drop powerful stuff)
peppermint (1 drop) invigorating
sandalwood (1 drop) nice for the guys and very pleasing to the girls well me anyway!!!!!
mandarin (1-3 drops) orangey, light and fun

May I add - for those using FL machines particularly, soap does tend to build up in these machines so a monthly "rinse" on the hottest wash setting with a couple of tablespoons of vinegar can keep your machine washing to the best of it's best ability!
