Don't know what happened there. Have been trying to post a photo for Maddy and it turned up here.

thought you were posting some pics of weekend clothes that you'd wear after working all week!

Dede, why not have a go and see how it works out if you get the job. You may find that your picture framing business slides, family doesn't cope, meal times are trying, or the hours are tiring etc and whether taking on a second job is worth it. At least it will put your ideas into perspective, and you will know then perhaps where you can give and take here and there.

Good luck Mandi, I hope you get the job & it works out how you want.

I already think you're a marvel with everything you do. Don't try & fit a part time job on top of what you do now, make sure you organise everything & everyone at home and share the workload.  Delegate, delegate, delegate!!

I'm really only looking at 1 (or 2 at most) shift on a weekend which shouldn't affect much at all at home, I can work around everything else quiet easily. As I work from home doing my picture framing I get time to do the house work etc during the week.
My goal is to eventually have a full time job picture framing as I build it up. Each year it's been growing but these kind of things can take time to grow. And as the kids get older they need less supervision.
And I really do love working with people with disabilities as its quiet rewarding (and challenging at times).
We work really hard to bring up our family but with the cost of living getting harder and harder I think every bit extra helps a lot. An let's face it life is so much easier now having the TM. :)

Hi dede - love your new avatar!  I'm with Katiej -  I think sometimes you can only get an idea of what to do by giving it a go - and delegate!  Remember how everyone rose to the occasion when you had your leg in plaster?  This is a wonderful learning curve for the kids - in the independence and capability stakes they'll be streets ahead of those of their friends who have everything done for them . . . .   Just follow your gut instinct!!

Good luck! :)

Good luck Mandi. I went back to work when DS was just 3 months old. I did 3 hours on a Saturday and loved up. It was my time and also my pocket money. When DS was 1, I did Fridays and Saturdays and my mum and dad would look after him on Fridays. Then when DS was 3 and at preschool I changed to Mondays and Fridays. He was at mum and dads Fridays and preschool Mondays. I still do my 2 days there and now also help in our shop when he is at school. I find work very rewarding and have met so many new friends.
