Ah! Now I know where you live!

LOL should I be worried MJ? :-)) ;D

Will you be joining us down here soon then?

You should be worried, very worried, she says in her best impression of a stalker on the phone.  😄

No, won't be moving any time soon. It's our retreat for now. Hope to semi retire in a few years down there.

Well it's over and I live to be scared another day. It was pretty scarey there at times. We droped the roof of the van, we have a pop top van and then it was a matter of riding it out. About 3.30am it was horrid, poor DH has the bruises on him to proof it. I only needed 2 glasses of port :P and I'm no drinker so it helped to zonk me out.
This morning we are just gooing roound with others to help people who had things ripped etc. Lots of people left when the SES came out yestrrday.
It's now moving south so be prepared everyone and go into your house, not in a caravan.

DH decided this morning to test if it had been really windy. We use a satellite dish up here for tv and he said if that had been moved in the wind, it would be the true test. Of course it had been moved quite a lot. Now he has to agree about the wind.
We pack up tomorrow and leave on Tuesday and will be home lunch time Wednesday.

xxxxxxx to you all. The forum kept me semi sane in the last 24 hours or so.

Yay, our Cookie & her DH are safe - bet it was a long night, for you especially.  I'm glad DH was convinced the wind was more than just a puff  ;D  :-* :-* :-*

Glad that you're safe and nothing untoward happened to you or your van.

We had gale force winds here just after I got home from doing a demo. Very scary. I was worried that the house would get water coming down the walls again since they've on,y just been repaired.  Had a little water but not much to worry about. Still waiting for someone to come and fix the roof.

At least we had some rain as well. We've been worried that it was going to be a drought as we haven't really had our opening rains.

Are you in Perth MJ? I saw some news coverage on one of our local TV channels about damage in Perth from the winds. I think it said that a crane got blown over at that hospital thats being built! :o

Glad to hear you are safe and sound Cookie, and MJ too.  I have just been reading about the storms and was wondering how you were getting along.

I'm afraid of wind too, as a teacher!  Cookie you know what a windy day is like in school, I'm sure!

It looked horrific on the news medusa. I didn't hear if there were any injuries. I hope not! :(

Lelly, wind and school children just do not mix.
We had a saying 'Wind and rain affect the brain.'
I hated duty on windy and/or rainy days.

Wishing I had some of Cookies port right now. It has been pouring cats and dogs out here today.
There is a river running down the street and through the back of our property.
I've been up and unblocked one drain and that has diverted the water away from the house a bit.
Wish DH would get home. Looks like I might have to go dig a trench to get the water to run the other way.
And it's DH's birthday and 16 people coming for dinner.

Hope the rain settles soon for you.
