That sounds awful JulieO. The heat SA and other parts of Australia has been really awful. We had heat and up in the north of WA had 45's or a little more. But 48 and hotter is beyond belief. I was watching the news the other night and saw that Eucla (on the border of SA and WA) had 50. I just wish the fires would be able to be put out.
It was 33 here yesterday and around 30 today and then heating up to 38 for Christmas day, but I think it drops back then.
Take care everyone.

Julie andCookie that sounds awful. We had a visit from a tradie last week and he said no one would hear him complain about the cold and wet Ballarat weather ever again.  Wait until next August!!
We had take out tea with Melbourne family. They are spoilt for choice so we had Chinese / Malayan take away.  Everyone chose their favourite dish.

I didn’t want to hear that weather forecast for SA Julie, if it comes I hope it moves on really fast and doesn't last 4 days like the recent one. My grand-daughter’s birthday that day though and in 15 years we’ve only celebrated 3 birthdays with pleasant weather.

Yes, the weather is certainly crazy - the prediction for the next seven days in Melbourne:  21, 27, 28, 24, 29, 37, 36 ... it's 13 at the moment, but it is only 5.00 am so that's a bit misleading!

Those temps sound good Cuilidh.  We are forecast 33 for Christmas day, so not as bad as it could be.  Haven't seen the long term temps though, scared to look  ;D

Was nice and cool for this morning's walk, though the sky was quite heavy and dark.  We had a sprinkling of rain about 4.30 which made it a bit humid but I don't think we are expecting rain unfortunately.

Good morning everyone.  A cool 16 deg here.
JulieO, so glad we are not having your 33 for Christmas day.  Our forecast is for 28.

When you’ve been through many days in the 40’s I find myself saying it’s only going to be 33. I can’t believe I’ve begun to accept it as I hate the hot weather!

We have said that about Christmas day Judy. It's only going to be 36/37/38. They keep changing their mind.

Home again.  Did fruit and veg shopping in Ballarat as I couldn’t face the crowds at Queen Vic Market.
Hot Xmas lunch and cold leftovers for Dinner. RTE suggests cooking Turkey Breast  in SC.   Not sure but it would free up oven. I have never had a problem with it being dry. Cover with bacon and then foil.

I’ve been watching our news reporting on the fires and high temperatures you are having in Australia. It look horrendous. Take care everyone 😘😘

It’s been dry here today, which is good.

I hope she puts the watermelon in the fridge / freezer first ... lucky chooks!

And I would also like to wish everyone a happy and safe Xmas and New Year ... perhaps a biit cooler here in Australia and a touch drier and warmer in the UK!

With Christmas upon us it’s almost time to take a break from our busy lives and enjoy time with our families. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a bright and cheerful New Year free of problems.
