You will have to show us your new oven . Heard today that Ballarat was going into lockdown, hopefully they have caught it so only that time .

You must be very excited about the new ovens Chookie. Mine does things that I don't use. As long as I can use the steam function I'm happy.

Chookie and Ral take care during your lockdown. A jolly nuisance.

How exciting Chookie.  Bet you can’t wait for the ovens to arrive and you can start playing.  Is your daughter-in-law still happy with her VZUG?  I’m happy with mine but disappointed that now only Winning’s Appliances are allowed to see them.  Adelaide doesn’t have a Winnings but thankfully because of covid they have been having regular cooking demos online.

Sorry to hear that you guys are back in lockdown.  Hope it’s for too long.  Stay well! X

Heard about your lockdown last night, Chookie.  I hope it works and you are out of it again soon.

I also heard that they are closing down our CBD totally on Saturday for most of the day due to a protest march ...  >:( >:(

Thanks for all the good wishes for our Ballarat lockdown. It actually won’t make a great deal of difference to us as we hardly go out.  We did venture out on Saturday. Haircut, Bunnings and Takeaway  coffee which we drank in the car.
Trudy, DIL loves her ovens.  One was faulty but was replaced. I’m particually looking for ward to the warming drawer. May be all delivered on Saturday. Installing is another matter with lockdown.

I don't have a warming drawer with this stove. I had one before we built and loved it. Fortunately my microwave has a warmimg function which is much the same.

That’s good Chookie.  Today I ordered a half tray for my steam oven and some telescopic racks.  My steam oven is just a little high or I’m a little short but I think they will help to bring out food without me feeling like it might drop on me!!!  Winnings also have them out for half price which is always great!

Trudy, when you are height challenged it is difficult when the oven door opens towards you. I did have an oven once where the door slid under the oven. Wonderful.
We are really locked down in Ballarat. Most businesses have  closed and sent staff home. Those that have remained open have reduced staff. I think we will probably be locked down for a month.  We will not go out at all. Medical appointments by phone and everything else delivered.
I will cook and garden.

My Kitchen Aid microwave has a door that pulls down. It was too high for me so we eventually moved it onto the bench. I managed to easily fill the microwave space.

Yes Cookie, it is amazing how we can fill spaces.
Cold again today.
We have neighbours who can’t have jab for medical reasons.  They are feeling very isolated. Can’t visit aged mum in care.  Very difficult for all.

I feel for your neighbours Chookie. It must be very hard for them.

From the news yesterday it sounds like we will be in some form of lockdown until towards the end of October / early November, but slowly getting some lessening of certain restrictions over that time.
