Kimmy I have seen quite a few weddings on the town hall balcony when I have been in Melbourne. Very impressive.
Wonder you had a rotten string of events, hope things improve.
Jamberie I don't envy you the marking, yuk.

Like many others we had an interesting weekend. On Saturday DH's knee was playing up a bit. He drove the old car to All Ford Day and hurt it even more there, he twisted it getting out of the car. ( they are hard to get in and out of). By the time he got home he was in agony. DD took him to the emergency dept, I had to stay home as we had an old car meeting at our place. Several hours later he returned home,  on crutches with a big strap thing on his leg. They think he has torn the meniscus or a ligament or something. After a sleepless night for both of us we saw the GP and received a referral to a specialist.  Next runaround was to try and get an appointment. Everyone had no spaces until the middle of November. Eventually a cancellation for tomorrow. So DH is sitting on the lounge with his crutches as he can't walk.

What are you going to do with them Gert - dry them or use them as they are?

Oh cookie that is horrible. Poor DH. I can see an arthroscopy happening.

Judy I will dry them a bit more for  maybe a sauce or two. If I had more I would pickle them.

Cookie, hope things are not too serious for DH, I know how troublesome knees can be at times.

I didn't notice your posting above my last one here cookie or I would have commented but of course I knew all about it anyway and hope tomorrow's appointment gives your DH some answers.  Are you keeping the cuppas and biscuits up to him?

Yes Judy. Coffee and cake several times a day. I think he is feeling in a little less pain with the rest. He has named his crutches. LC (Elsie) is the left crutch and Catholic (RC) right crutch.

Sorry to hear of your poor dh's knee Cookie. It seemed to be the weekend for woes, my dh spent friday up at the hospital with chest pain and tingles down his arm, nerve damage, also had an uncomfortable weekend although improving now. Another firend broke her arm and another with knee problems. It just goes on. I hope you have some joy tomorrow.
Congratulations Hally, nice to have closure.
Wonder, your luck must be changing. It gets you down doesn't it, one thing after another.

Bedlam that is awful. Take care of him. I don't know what it is with this weekend, we have heard of 2 close friends who have had something go bad. Either it is age with us or something else.

I hope your DH had some tests Bedlam so you know what caused the chest pains. Sometimes though, nothing shows up.

He did it reaching for his towel as he got out of the shower. Somehow trapped a nerve we think. Ridiculous but caused lots of pain. Naughty man didnt say he was worried about the chest pain and dove himself to the hospital!! Still uncomfortable but much better. They did blod tests and ecg. All good.
Yes a dreadful weekend for many.
