Kat, Margaret River, how wonderful. Lots of talk also.
Cookie, beautiful view.
The texture of the strained Kefir depends on how long you strain it. The first lot I used to replace sour cream. The second lot I put a chux  inside the jelly bag as an extra liner and I got about 3 tablespoons of cheese . I have read that you can make labne out of it.
Yes, Cookie you could use it in bread but the baking kills the good bugs.
The cheese makes an excellent base for a dip.
The container I use only holds 600 mils of milk.
CC, I think you could have fun with this.

There is a City to Surf fun run and our house is not far from the finish line so we will have people drop past for brunch when they finish.  I think DH has invited people over for dinner as well, so have a pile of cookbooks piled on top of each other with the recipes I've picked out. He generally invites everyone he talks to and then tells me he will "do it all". What this entails is basically putting it in the oven  ;)

LOL CP Good luck with the cooking. :)

I planted some Violas in pots this afternoon so we will have a bit of colour during the winter.

LOL CP, good thing you're into cooking!  I hope DH's remembered how many people he's invited.

Nothing like a bit of colour in the garden in winter Denise.  These days my garden actually looks more colourful in winter than it does at any other time.

I love violas CC. CP my DH says the same. I often think I would like to sit back and let him do it, but I am never brave enough. Enjoy your cooking.

We flew home today. It was raining when we left Melbourne and raining when we arrived home.

We are in Broken Hill catching up with my Dad and sister, visiting places that remind me of my childhood and eating way too much.

I should have popped in when I finished. I wouldn't call it a fun run either. I for one did not find it fun this year.

I take my hat off to anyone who enters a fun run, I couldn't run to the end of the street.  Well done Den.
