That’s good news Marina, for your cousin, not the colonoscopy. I’m due for mine a little later in the year.

The days prior to the colonoscopy are awful. I only need one every 5 years now.

Like Chookie, I only need one every 5 years.  The last one I had I read that if you have a straw in the glass of mixture (yuk) and one in a glass of lemonade and drink them together it doesn't taste so bad.  Must say it worked for me. :)

I'll try to remember as well.  Anything to get through that awful stuff.

Busy at our house today. We engaged a tree surgeon to remove a silver birch, top out another sliver birch in the back garden, trim back four rhododendrons and reduce the size of the hedge that runs along one side of our property. All chipped and taken away expect the big logs that DH wanted to keep. There was dust everywhere.

CC, that is a very big job well done.
It is so cold here that we will be doing indoor jobs. Cooking, ironing and cleaning.

It’s good to leave these jobs to the professionals and just sit back and watch Denise. I hope the dust didn’t filter into the house.

We have someone come every 2 years to prune all the camellias as it is too big a job for DH.

This morning I sorted, cleaned and tidied my pantry.

A bit of excitement here this morning.  I was up early to wash and after I showered after breakfast I could hear water running and the new HWS was in working mode too.  Thinking I must have left a tap running I checked every tap in the house, all off.  I then realised I could hear the water running noise through the a/c vent in the main bedroom and the ensuite floor was wet (I use the other bathroom these days as it’s easier to clean).  I turned off the water at the meter and rang the plumber.  He is really good and does answer his calls and not let them go to message so he was around here quick smart with his apprentice to fix the problem, a faulty joint.
I was able to provide heaps of old flannels and hand towels for the lad to mop up in the roof and I did the tiles and some carpet which abutts the ensuite.  In due course they will replace 2 small pieces of insulation which was too wet to put back.  Thank goodness I was still home when it happened and better still that they were able to get to me so quickly.

You were lucky that help came so quickly, Judy.  The consequences of a burst water pipe or fitting is a nightmare.

Well done Judy.  Could have been a real disaster.
We have been without WiFi all day.  Thought it must have been our problem.  Went to a computer man in Ballarat.  He told us to go home and do several things.  He didn’t charge us but could have charged $40. We think Telstra we’re doing something.  Took the Computer man a pot of Jam.
Almost ready to go with the Quince Jelly.

Well we hit IKEA again , kids loved it . This time DD decided to update her bedroom desk ! The trolley was full and a flat trolley for the desk . One lady at the check out said it was good exercise 6,000 steps she had done there ! Well no wonder my knee is hurting , from skiing ? I may see the Dr in the morning but hoping with rest it will get better . We need to get a new battery for DS phone that was given to him from DM . That's tomorrow's job . Enjoying the holidays could have done without this detour but like it when kids are happy too . Meanwhile DS is debating how much he should charge DD to put said desk together !

I’m afraid the dust did get in Judy but I’ll eventually get rid of it.
