happy birthday to your DS Kyton.
I dug my waffle machine out of the cupboard last week and we have been enjoying Michelle Bridges apple and cranberry waffles the last few days. They are really lovely, quick and easy. They are nice plain but I've been topping with warmed blueberries and a tiny amount of maple syrup.
Kyton, which recipe do you use?

Loving smoothies at the moment - just simple with Banana, Frozen Mango (if you are brave enough to ignore where it comes from) or Strawberry (bit expensive at the moment), Unsweetened low fat yogurt, dash honey and lite milk.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Lachy, I'm normally a big green smoothie for breakfast fan but it's so cold in the mornings here and I normally go for a jog or walk so looking for warmer but healthy breakfasts at the moment. I'm alternating between these waffles and porridge with CADA or a mixture of goji berries, linseeds and chia

You can virtually throw anything in Lachy but if you google smoothies you will find so many different combinations.

Wonder, your waffles sound delicious! I use the Belgian waffle recipe that came with the machine.
Insert butterfly and whisk 3 egg whites until stiff. Remove to a separate bowl.
In same bowl (without cleaning) melt 125gm butter.
Add 450ml milk, 3 egg yolks, 1t vanilla, 1/4 cup of caster sugar and 2 cups of SR. flour to the butter. Mix on sp4 for 5secs, scrape down sides and repeat.
I then fold the egg whites in by hand to keep it as light as possible.

Did a big breaky for DH and a vegetarian version for me. It turned out pretty ordinary. I burnt the toast 3 times (unbelievable) meanwhile the eggs went rubbery so had to start over with them. I airfried the bacon and sausages - the bacon was over done so another go at that. Too much flour in the hash browns so we didn't end up eating them and I forgot the grilled tomato's altogether. It took me over an hour to cook breakfast several times and the kitchen looked a bomb had hit it.

In for a penny, in for a pound. I had invested too much time and too many ingredients to quit.
The baked beans out of the tin and the mushrooms are the things that turned out right first time.
