That's a great idea ACW - many thanks! The selection of toppings could be done the day before - most of them anyway?

Mine arrived today, yay!  Ordered Friday from VB, arrived today in Adelaide.

My DH emailed me at lunch time after he had been to the post office to say there were parcels for me.  My new Nigella book also arrived  ;D

I will be busy reading.
We had gnocchi for dinner, so I don't think I'll cook a pizza tonight  :)

If you have the tupperware server with a bowl in the middle & sections around,  ths is great for pizza toppings, always use this when its more than us 3.

WoW.....this thread has exploded since I last looked!  :P

I love my new pizza machine, I use the pre made bases that Maddy put me onto  :)
I must have missed that post, Yvette.  What is the name of Maddy's bases please?  Ta.

I use these pita bases for a quick pizza

This may sound strange,  but have used sweet chilli sauce as a base.  ( This was a mistake ).   No one seemed to notice.
;D I don't think it matters what you put on a pizza, if it's homemade it will be delicious!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Sounds interesting, Obbie.

I had a Middle Easter Lamb one in SA a few years ago.  It was delicious.

our favourite is Tenina's sundried tomato pesto mixed with sour cream.
Judy's garlic cream sauce is also nice
melted quince paste, then topped with Camembert  :-* wicked
....really is endless.
Any leftover dips you make are great for the bases.

Bought 2 packets of bases today at safeway. There are 6 in a pack..  The ones Maddy uses worked out at about 40 cents a base.  The others, recommended by a friend, bazaar brand,  are 60 cents a base.  You can make 6 for $1.  Handy to have some ready made in the freezer.

(Knowing there are no silly questions on here!  :-)) )  What is the best way to freeze home made bases?  Do you just freeze the dough, thaw when needed, and then roll it out?  or do you roll it out and freeze it all ready to go - what would be the best way to separate the individual bases?
