The 4 chookies are laying 4 eggs a day, every day. And no wonder-the neighbour cooks extra rice for them and they beg for food (and get it) from passers by at the back fence :D

Love it! ;D

Had a morning in the kitchen for a change.  Roasted another bag of red capsicums, made Lentil 'sausage' rolls from this months edition of Australian Healthy Food Guide, made a batch of rice pudding for Mum using the MWOC recipe and for lunch I did a version of Baf's all-in-one chicken meal, this time apricot chicken.

Nice meals Judy. :)

I have had visitors today so have only made a pot of potato & leek soup this morning.

I've made Gayle's lovely slow cooker bread, have an everyday bread rising and have Chookie's BananaRum and Raisin loaf in the oven.

I dont need any more food today but felt sorry for my lot so have made Alyce's roasted pumpkin and Garlic Risotto.  Hopefully it is flavourful, didnt have any wine or mascapone.  I love the AF for small roasting jobs, well I love the AF  for big roasting jobs too.

I made my slowcooker (7l) full of chicken stock today - actually it is still simmering away! :D
I used the carcass and juices from last night's dinner, then added alot of wilting veg i had in the garden and fridge. DH just told me whatever was in the crockpot tasted great!  :-))

I only ate 1 Katj but I enjoyed it and I'm not a vegetarian. As you could probably see from the photo, I used puff pastry instead of filo because that's what I had on hand.  I gave Mum 4 for her freezer and froze the rest of mine too.  I must put the conversion on the forum, thanks for reminding me of the recipe.

Nothing. In Bendigo home late.  Cold sausages in fridge left over gravy and veggies from roast. Rum and raisin ice cream.

We're trying another of Jo's recipes tonight. I'm loving the book.

Oh gosh Cookie was trying to resist that one  :D ;D

Made Maggie Beers sour cream pastry today and used up some preserved plums and with the left overs spread  some caramelised onions & cheese on it.

2 lasagne's and zucchini cupcakes from the Quick Fix Book.

1 of the lasagne's and most of the cupcakes are for Mum.  She's not able to cook as much for herself these days and I've been trying to stock her freezer when I can.
