Date drops from The One Handed Cooks - thermomix section. They happen to be vegan and DH has given them the thumbs up.

They look nice Mich.

Today I've made ricotta, a potato sciacciata bread from In The Mix 2, an upside-down gingerbread cake with pears from the UK Demonstrator Delights cookbook and later, I'm going to make ricotta gnocchi from In The Mix 2 for dinner.

It seems to be a day where we've all found our mojo again - despite the heat!

I had a list of things to do when I came home from visiting but the first recipe needed passata.  Did I jump in the car and go around to the supermarket?  Well, that would have been the sensible thing to do but no I've made a batch of Nico's Ragu Di Pomodoro E Peperoncini (passata  :D) then without washing the bowl, a batch of Vegetable Stock Concentrate.

I also made a batch of Mango yoghurt ice-cream.

Now it's too late to do much else although I may get a second wind later maybe.

Great cooking Judy!

I am feeling a lot better. I get my stitches out tomorrow and my office opens again after the Xmas break on Wednesday, so I'll be going back to work then. I can do most things now, except stretch up (so no hanging out washing etc).  My tummy is a bit sore, but it's not too bad.

I made the ricotta gnocchi from In The Mix for dinner. Not sure what happened, but after I steamed the gnocchi in the Varoma, my lovely round balls had flattened together to make one large flat pancake, oops! It still tasted nice and really DH enjoyed it.

I would love some of that mango icecream Judy. We ran out of icecream last night and it was too hot to go out and buy cream to make some today. I have frozen bananas and macadamias so they will make tonight's icecream.
