DJ and Gert,  good versions of original recipe,  love them.
Made my Granola recipe today. Excellent breakfast with yoghurt this hot weather.  Can replace honey with Maple syrup if preferred. Also found that it is very nice before baking in oven.

Karen, Jilly's Apple, Raspberry and peach pie is very simple. Line a pie dish with Puff Pastry, sprinkle base with cornflour, add sliced apple, add raspberries , add sliced peaches, sprinkle with a little sugar, place enough puff pastry on top, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.  ( the left over egg was used to make pancakes)  bake at 200 .

Love the sound of the pie chookie.  I have some apples that need using up and several bags of frozen raspberries in the freezer, given to me by a frend so might try this.

Yesterday we were given loads of fresh veggies (tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini, silverbeet, squash, beans, pumpkin, spring onions and some herbs), far too much to cope with at the moment, so have been cooking what I can and putting them in the freezer.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Mab, wow.  Lucky you.
I sometimes use FILO as the pastry. Can use bread crumbs to soak up juices, instead of cornflour.

have just been reading latest Dish Mag from NZ. One of the fancy restaurants is serving pan cooked crumpets,  cut into wedges.  I did this several years ago as a suggestion for Cookie for when she goes north to Monkey Mia.   I think the new SD recipe would be even better that the traditional recipe.  With family here, we made mini crumpets in egg rings.  Kids loved them. I made the SD batter a bit thinner and the crumpets also. They looked like pikelets but tasted better.

Made one of our favourites for lunch, Isi's pasta bake.

Used yoghurt instead of cream. Lots of milk and a bit of water. Turned out well 😋😋

That would fill the growing boys BZB.

Your SD crumpets are super duper Chookie. I always have some in the freezer as DD loves them for a snack. I do too.  ;D

Judy kindly gave me some of her sourdough starter before Christmas, so I made another sour dough loaf and apricot Jam. I must try the crumpets next.

You will love them ES. They are so handy to use up excess starter.
