Andie those videos are great - excellent ideas for camping.  I seem to manage quite OK without an oven for a prolonged period of time - use the weber for roasts and bread, microwave for reheating, pie maker is handy without an oven and the TMX does most of my cooking anyway.
Judy, we always use the weber for roasting, save the mess in the oven and does such a good job. Love it for pizza too, haven't tried bread. Would miss baking cakes and goodies but probably do us good! Hopefully oven working again now.

Andie, I can see everyone heading for you house in times like that as you are probably the only one prepared for anything ;)
Your knowledge is amazing, have you passed it down to your children do you think? Are they 'chips off the old block'?

Denise, it gave me a chance to empty out my freezer of cakes.  We are not big consumers in that regard so these sorts of things do tend to build up and prevent me from doing anymore baking for quite a while. If I had to give up eating any one item, it would be cakes and biscuits (2 items I know :-)))

For lunch today I made Chelseas Steamed Vegies & Tasty Mushroom Rice to serve with some pan fried Bavarian spiced chicken fillets.

Hi everyone!

Last night I made herby chicken hor d'ouerves from EDC and then mash with steam veggies (recipe may have come from this forum..)

I tweaked the EDC recipe by using mozzarella instead of fetta in order to please the kids - they raved about them! They were pretty good.

The mash was pretty good too.... Better than edc version IMHO.

Going to a varoma demo today for more inspiration yay!!

Bread and some biscuits. I think they may be a conversion of the shortbread with chocolate in the last Masterchef magazine.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
