I hadn't had a group for ages Denise, usually just stick to 1 couple for meals but it has inspired me to ask a group of friends in for a pre-Christmas get together now.  Guess with DH not being on top of things for most of the year, everything was put on hold but we are up and away again and starting to do things we used to.
Glad you enjoyed yours, for those wondering what the party was for (shh, Denise turns 50 tomorrow)

Ahh JD and embracing it! Can't do much else.
I am please your DH is feeling a bit better, you really do have to run with the ups of life. Take advantage of his better health and enjoy. I regularly entertain my family, 15 or so people and enjoy it specially with TMX help.

Judy, that spread you put on sounds superb.  Even with TMX I wouldn't want to attempt that.

Today is a productive one for me here - LSA, CADA, tofu with veges and cashew satay sauce (based on QJ's recipe), JD's noodle and cheese slice and just finishing off with worcestershire sauce because I am hoping to make HP sauce next week.

Now it's on to company accounts so that I've got a head start on my week tomorrow.

Thermie potato mash & steamed veg to go with pan fried sausages & gravy, basic bread (EDC) in the breadmaker and might also give cranberry orange bread (forum) a go in the breadmaker too.  :)

have just put my 3rd. Loaf of fruit bread into the Bread Maker.  This time I added walnuts and figs.  it is warm here today, so I am glad I do not have to use the oven.  Ground some cinnamon sticks as I have been told the commercial stuff has an anti caking agent in it.Pizza for lunch with salad from garden.  Will try cooking pizza on BBQ.

Hally, The texture of the risotto was great, but we found it a little bland, perhaps lacking something.  I used my vegata chicken stock concentrate as I haven't made any "real" chicken stock yet, but I think it needed something more to give it a zing.  Don't know what that is though - I am still looking for a really great chicken risotto, something more like this http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6578.msg87738#msg87738, but using chicken instead can't have ginger in it as DH doesn't like it :'().  Any ideas?
Cheers, Nola.
