Hally, don't you be worried - yours is quiet.  I'm more worried about the rattly noise mine makes.  Will compare it to speed 4 on the TMX in the morning. I thought I had read somewhere that it is noisy but this noisy ??? :o

Judy I did not detect a rattling noise - I know this is a stupid query but was the clear lid locked into the front of the arm like so

Apologies if you feel like I am stating the obvious  :)  :)

Thanks Robyn, not a silly question.  I had a dreadful job trying to get that darn lid etc on :-))  I thought thermi was hard when I first got him but compared to the ice-cream maker, that was a breeze. I don't know that I did have it locked in for the 3 lots of ice-cream to be honest because when I shut it down for the day, I had more success putting the lid on then than I had had previously and I then realised it actually locked into place.  It will be a while before I make anymore ice-cream, 3 lots is going to last me a month or more I would think so I'll see how I go next time.  :-* :-*

Dashingden I hope you do well in your Triathlon and don't melt.

Today I hope to make some apricot jam and apricot butter. If I have any apricots left I might stew them and stir them through some icecream. Too hot to do much else.

Hi everyone.  I'm cooking as therapy today - felt really bad yesterday for one reason or another, but today I was determined to Thermomix myself happy.  :)  So far I have made a banana cake from this forum, which DH declared beautifully moist, and Chookie's Lemon and Carrot marmalade x 2.  I am now about to make some of the Tenina Lemon Curd that JD contributed.

Made loaf of bread,  still using up odd bits of flour.  Beef and veggie cass in the TMX. Also made another batch of my special diet Bircher's museli.     Uni, you do wonderful things with that basic recipe for Swedish Cream Cheese Ice Cream cake.
Cecilia, that jam is a fav. Here, especially on fresh bread.
