French Oatcakes recipe is on page 96 of A Taste of Vegetarian - it's not listed in the index in my edition.

Yum that sounds good Chookie! Hope u get your pics up soon so we can drool over them!
I've made ice magic, nutella, ketchup(MWOC) and dinner is chicken parmagiana and the kids can't decide if they want steamed golden syrup puddings with custard or quick caramel custard with bananas. DS12 asked if we could have both!!!!

A major tantrum coming up - if I hear thunder I'll know it's started Chookie.  You can't post pictures, I can't print anything or send emails (apart from through the forum thank goodness or through my webmail a/c).  I might throw a tantie with you  >:(

Beef rendang was great.  I am not used to following a recipe for main meals.  I reduced Cooking time to 30 mins from 40 -60 as i only had rump steak not chuck.  It came out very tender.
I hoping to be confident enough to adapt my cooking style to the marvels of the TMX.

Made a frozen banana choc coffee maca powder smoothie for a pre 60km cycle breakfast. It was pretty good and kept me going the whole way.

DD how do you get your smoothies down with Maca powder in them??!!

I don't mind the taste of the Macca powder Faffa.  I don't know if it makes any difference to me or not.  I don't manage to ave it regularly enough.  (couldn't get the quote to work correctly >:(

Drove to Bunbury today to go to the movies, the things we country people do for entertainment, so no real cooking today.  Made peanut butter, hummus and boiled some eggs when w got back.

Made a batch of hot cross buns ( minus the cross) this is the 4th time I have attempted this recipe but the first successful batch. They are so soft and yummy not like the rocks I cooked before in the old oven. I am so pleased with the result.
I was going to try a loaf of bread but changed my mind at the last minute and I am glad I decided to give these another try.
Also made another batch of cheese and bacon rolls.

I really am loving my convection microwave it does a great job of everything so far.

Had 7 year old GD here today and she wanted to cook so cook she did. She chose from a variety of recipes I presented to her and with very little help from me (apart from assembling the ingredients, handling boiling water and oven duties, helping ice the cakes because by 3pm she was pretty over it, then cleaning up afterwards), she did the bulk of the work herself.
We made Berry & Vanilla Pannacotta, Creamy Tuna Pasta, White Chocolate & Raspberry cupcakes with butter icing from QFITT and Chookies no fuss rolls.  Reviews will be posted on Quick Fix recipes.

Great photo's JD and what a big day in the kitchen for you both.
Making memories too - I'm sure she will remember fondly cooking and baking with Grandma
