I'm so sorry to hear that dg.  Sending a hug your way.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

I hope little Miss 2 has a lovely birthday Caroline - is it that long already since she came along  :o

It's hard to believe, isn't it JD?  It feels more like 2 months than 2 years!

Thank you for all your kind words, it definately helps.

CarolineW a big happy burthday to Miss 2. I know she will have a wonderful day with a wonderful family.

Frozzie I love the idea of no school on Wednesdays. I know it would be hard on families but best for the little ones as sometimes 5 days in a row is too much for them. My DS7 is starting to stutter again (happens every year). Last year it happened mid year when his teacher went on maternity leave and he got a new teacher.

Brownie in the oven now. (hopefully freezes well when cut)
Next Oat and Fruit Slice for morning teas (hopefully freezes well when cut)

Perhaps pizza for dinner tonight.

Uni that looks wonderfu. Tried the Swedish Icecream Cheesecake today using a tub of defrosted cream. Didn't beat up very well (went sloppy really quickly before I could fold it in to the other ingredients). Maybe the kitchen was too hot - it's nearly 40 degrees here now!  :o

Still, should taste OK and anything frozen will be welcome

Bonsai,  I have whipped frozen cream and it has been OK.  I had to whip it for a lot longer than normal.  May have been the heat.  I don't know how you all are coping.

Uni that looks yummo.

Today made Museli,  (posted) and curried scallops.   Made the curry sauce in the TMX and added scallops at the end and cooked them for 2 mins reverse, Veroma.  Perfect.  Will make seafood pancakes and a seafood pasta bake.  Family for dinner tomorrow so leg of lamb on BBQ,   and I will make the Orange Mousse in a bowl to see if it works.

Having a fairly easy day today and have only made simple dishes like Spaghetti with Vegemite and Quick Caramel Custard for ice-cream later.

Caroline, Happy Birthday to your little girl. She is certainly growing up.

Uni, that looks delicious.

I helped DD1 make her first batch of vegetable stock concentrate today.  She has had her Thermie since Christmas and all she has made is 3 batches of Fruity dream.  I am going to have to spend some more time with her and help her gain some confidence with it.

DD2 uses hers almost every day.  She is on her own in Newman (North West WA) so she only cooks every other day.
