Glad to know I am not the only one Uni, but they are supposed to be much safer these days.

Actually the PC was a bit of a disaster.  I tried it yesterday, just using water, and one of the pressure valves didn't work so no pressure.  Second time I tried, it worked.  So this morning after making my beurre noisette and prepping all those veg, I put all the ingredients in the PC, and again, the valve didn't work.  Tried several times, but no luck.  In the end I just cooked ingredients in it, without pressure.  It still smelled nice, but won't be able to taste until tomorrow because, as is usual with Heston, the recipe is rather long winded.

Anyway, I am having it collected on Tuesday and a replacement being sent at the same time.  If the new one doesn't work, then I will tell Prestige where they can stuff it and save up to buy a much longed for WMF one.

Sorry for the diatribe, but I was so wound up about it, that I nearly threw the damned thing at one of the cats who happened to be in the way:-[

Not a lot!  Am faffing around with Heston's recipes for Marmite Consomée to try out my new pressure cooker.  First time I have ever used it and am terrified :(  Will probably make do with the left over risotto from yesterday, with salad.  The whole house absolutely reeks of onions and leeks and it is too cold to open the windows >:(

Marmite Consomee sounds interesting. We can't get marmite in NSW (don't know about other states) at the moment. OZ imports it from Christchurch, New Zealand and the factory was damaged in one of the after shocks.

Berry muffins in the oven. Will post if they turn out.
Chocolate Brownies, Glazed Chocolate Jam Cake (dessert tonight) and more tomato sauce.
If time permits I will I will make some apple crumble and Apple Sauce. Was given 5 kg of apples yesterday. Need to use them up.

Made chicken soup with vegies, sour dough loaf, in the fridge over night, and a Geneva loaf.  Bought a bag of No Knead Geneva flour to try out.  Very cold here today so everything taking a long time to double.

Have a loaf of bread in the oven at the moment.  Now trying to decide what to make next.  We've been away for a couple of weeks without TMX :( and I need to make something, anything, as long as it is to do with thermie.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Vegemite would be fine, mcmich.  I do buy it occasionally but I have only ever seen it in very small jars, which makes it quite expensive, whereas we can get giant jars of Marmite.

Chookie, I love the look of your bread  ;D

Thanks JB.  It is a bit weird looking,  but it is important to see that it is not perfect every time. ;D
