I'm not clever enough to do pretty ones ILB but have a wonderful day.

I was babysitting today, as our friends were moving, so I had 7 kids running around all day... to keep them busy we made homemade buckwheat and spelt pasta (fettucine and lasagne noodles) - a bit messy, but they always enjoy putting it through the pasta machine.  Also made a great big batch of chicken and vege pasta sauce (chopped everything in the TMX and cooked in a big pot).  Plus two fruit-filled brioche (apple & berry), spelt bread rolls and spelt bread, rice/almond milk, df bechamel sauce, vege stock concentrate, chicken lasagne (dairy-free - topped with df white sauce and spelt bread crumbs) and beetroot salad.  Oh, and we started off the day with buckwheat, brown rice and spelt pancakes (blender batter style) with apple sauce.  And all that's left to show for all that work is a few pieces of bread, a bit of salad, and a couple of pieces of brioche!!! (Part of the cooking was for the friends who were moving, we didn't eat it all ourselves!)  I think I'll go have a cup of tea!  :)

Wow Jo!  You are an inspiration.  I must admit though I was pleased to hear that you had sandwiches for dinner the other night.  Even superwoman has to make sandwiches for dinner occasionally.  ;D ;D ;D

I was really wishing today that I DID have two TMX's!!!  Actually, I used to have two (TM21 & TM31) but I sold the TM21 to my sister - maybe I shouldn't have!  :P  I'm no superwoman - I'm just doing what I love!  :)  And the kids were all having fun playing together, so I was really doing much 'babysitting'!

I could put them under the beds Thermomixer except they all suffer Asthma except DD and it wouldn't fit under her bed (I don't think they would get a chance to grow there anyway she would pick them the minute they appeared lol)  ;D ;D
I grew some in a box on top of our dryer (which is in a sort of cupboard).  Do you have any nooks and crannies like that?  Alternatively, I'm about to line a bit of a path at the allotment with some attractive, small logs, cut to different lengths to look pretty, and drill in spawn to them. That's oyster mushrooms and what have you - not field mushrooms.

Do you perhaps have a verandah or something that a bale of straw could fit under?  Could grow plenty of mushrooms on that.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Made lentil Dahl, adapted from an old favourite recipe for dinner tonight.  Found the flavour very pleasant but fairly bland - then remembered that I didn't used to like spicy food (many, many years ago - and that was when I last made it!)  Think I'll try the one in the book next time.

Ate it with steamed rice, naan bread and a variety of chutneys.  Dahl, Naan bread, rice and some of the chutneys all made in the TMX, but not necessarily today!  ;D

Had porridge for breakfast, and knocked out a couple of apple pies for the freezer with some cooking apples I got in exchange for my home grown spinach and potatoes.  The pastry was made in moments - luuuurve my thermie!

I was talking to somebody last week about the same thing - we used to think a sprinkle of chilli powder was hot and exotic - now it's "how many whole chillis should I put in the dish?"
