Dede, yes its incredible what they get through.

I only have one child,  but saying that there is always a plus 1 or 2 or more here. I dont mind as at least  I get to know who ds  hangs out with & I hope it stays that way.

I do t know how you do it, your going to have to do 2 cook ups or some small ones in between.

Anzac cookies I doubled the batch no problem, maybe try & double some recipes. I like to have things in the freezer to whip out as I need, plus its nice to have a variety.

Good luck

H ;D

Thanks Hally,
It's hard to change a routine but I need to especially if I get some weekend work. And it doesn't take long to whip up 1 or 2 things. But when I make 8 or 9 different things on a Sunday it takes me a few hours.

I found it was always good to be ahead of them.

So if I have a spare 15 mins,  i might whip up a cake & whilst its cooking I can get on with other things. When I am cooking my phone is constantly on timer, LOL, there is always something in the oven.

You have a large family so I know its hard. I often say to ds, if you want me to make those biscuits/cakes I nee you to hang out the eashing/bring it in whatever needs to be done. This wrks well.

H :)

I also find that if I offer fruit or veggie sticks, they are not so hungry :)

I freeze lemon and passionfruit curd all the time.  I love having some in the freezer to put on pancakes on a weekend morning, or to put into a pastry base for a quick lemon tart to take to someone's house.

I made thermomixer's quince jelly today...something I would never have contemplated pre TMX. Thanks to bimbyT's advice I left the cut quince out for a bit to oxidize before cooking it and viola it's beautifully red!

I have some of Tenina's buttermilk rolls rising, tikka paste and some bread.

Square White Bread..
DGS will only eat square white bread.  I have tried several bread tins to achieve what he wanted but never managed to get it quite right.
Most tins seem too big for the amount of dough I make.   >:(
Other tins didn't have a lid and after several attempts at keeping the top from rising I had almost given up.
I hate store bought bread and didn't want to have to return to it.
Then I spotted a biscuit tin in an op shop.
Looked the perfect size.   :o
And tonight I gave it the first try out.
Wow.
Perfect square bread(almost).   Finally.   ;D

Oh Rosie that looks so good. Bet your DS will love his square bread now. So glad you found a solution. Who would of thought of a biscuit tin to cook your bread in. :)
