A friend of DH minced up 3 foresters. That's a lot of meat. Don't think we need to buy mince for awhile :D
We mixed it with some minced lamb flaps to break it down a bit.
We also got a full pig, 10kg of beef mince and 5 kg of burgers. So I was busy packing all the meat.
The leg of the pig is so so big I have to get DH to cut it up into 4 each leg. Way to much for even the 7 of us :o

Oh my god... :o :o

Beautiful Maddy, as always  :D

Today I've made lamb rojan rosh in my slow cooker (for tomorrow nights dinner), anzac biscuits and Chookie's no-fuss bread rolls.

Today I made Chookie's apricot, walnut and raisin fruit loaf. It is delicious. Some more normal bread and dinner. I needed 2 machines at time today with dinner to prepare as well.

Oh Maddy, Maddy, Maddy....what are you doing to me?? Posting all these gorgeous cakes when I'm trying to take part in the weight loss challenge??!! I feel like some now  :'(

It also doesn't help that we went out to Yum Cha with friends today. It's not something I am usually too keen on but I have to say this was pretty scrumptious and it would have to be when you have a queue of about 100 people waiting outside to get in.

Thanks for posting the cupcake recipe Maddy. I can't wait to try them.
My TC is going off for repair tomorrow, and I will be without it for about 2 weeks.....ouch
Today I made some rosemary salt- my neighbour had used up all of the jar she had bought at the growers market and was going to buy some more. I said that I would make it for her instead, so I had a go today and it seems to have worked out. I have also started the 18hour ciabatta recipe that lilli linked, and used the rosemary salt in the dough. It is proving overnight and I will bake it tomorrow.
I have also made up a batch of chocolate and cranberry biscuit dough with Dashingden's modifications. I will bake them tomorrow when I bake the bread. That is going to be all for me for a while.

That heart shaped cake looks just so nice!

I bought some breadstick pans a few days ago and used them today.  Was really happy with the end product.

Also made a really old fashioned desert my mum and my grandmother used to make. Jiffy Pudding. Very fast and easy and economical. Went down well after lunch on a cold winters day here in Melbourne. I only thought to take the photo after it had been pretty much hacked to pieces by the hungry hoarde :)

Porridge for breakfast. Roast beef, vegies and gravy for dinner. Poached some chicken for lunch through the week.

Custard biscuits from the forum. Made with cornflour, and 20g more icing sugar. We think they are the best plain biscuit.
DH has done lots of testing!!

And lemon drizzle.... Will post recipe in non TMX section as made with trusty KEN!

Dreoverjess, those cakes look great, I made the lemon yogurt one yesterday for my dad and while I haven't seen it cut it seemed very heavy so to expecting it to be that great.
