I will be grabbing whatever they have in the supermarket ie. no shopping around for gourmet, but will try to get what I can. I'm only hoping that I remember to get everything on the shopping list (which I have to compile this week). Have a lot to do this week to tie up loose ends and to make matters worse DH erased all my hard drive. Not good when you are running a business... to make matters worse my goodie item was screwed up and I couldn't pick it up today after an hour and a half of waiting around for them to finish. I have to go back tomorrow evening and you can be sure I will be checking like mad to make sure its A-OK. I hope I am not giving any clues away  :o

BTW mum had some gem scone trays that she used to make the jelly cakes with and they were bee-u-tiful. Maybe I will ask her to dig them out and gift them to me in her will rather than a dinner set. (takes up a lot less room) I think they were cast iron, and she had to shop around for them over 30 years ago, so probs even harder to get now.

They look sensational Chookie, if only we could put you to work on the retreat to supply us with bakery items all weekend  8)

We can't do that to you though, you need a break like the rest of us so hopefully CP is able to pick up some really nice bread when she does our grocery shopping.
.
Had thought about it Judy.  But I don't want to miss all the fun.
CP,  I will be happy to eat what ever is going.

CP please do not  fret about the bloody food .  Any food divas can bring  their own. You will have done more than your share for which we thank you big time.

Bread,  so there is some for when we get home from Perth.

Rustic Bread from the Agrarian kitchen, (posted)  cooked in Le Creuset pot.  The top is flat as I cooked it with the lid on for the first 30 mins.

Lovely day here in Sydney!  I've been trying to use up some of this excess of fruit and veg that I have here!

So far:
Stewed pears for the freezer (go well in cakes)
Grapefruit cordial
Almond and Carrot cake
Vegetable stock

I still need to make a roasted capsicum sauce and then get started on dinner!  And make a BBQ sauce if I don't run out of time.

I've still got lots of grapefruit left so if you know of any good recipes then I'm listening.  Found one for monitor chicken that I might try out this week.

Snappy and Hally,  if you want a large loaf,  with a very slight Sour dough flavor, this is the one. I think it is Cookie's fav. bread at the moment.  You need to start it the previous day.  Do have a go.
