Thamsk MF!
We bought this doughnut maker for some friends for Christmas about three or four years ago but never ended up giving it to them, I thought it was being wasted all wrapped up in our cupboard so I opened it today and made some! They were so easy. I think I'll buy another one to give to our friends :)
I'll certainly be making healthier ones for DD to have for snacks. Maybe even savoury ones would be a fun gimmick for her.

Lovely looking doughnuts ES   I'm fond of them but no one else is so it's best to not even think about them. What sort of icecream did you make?
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I made Chookie's Turkish delight icecream as plain vanilla, and I'm about to taste test it ;D

Great donuts and icecream and jam.
ES that pasta looks lovely. Husbands say the silliest things sometimes.

Never heard of healthy donuts. Those two words just don't sound right when put together ;D

I just googled it and found this recipe (you'll need to scroll down a way).....sounds like a healthy muffin but cooked in a doughnut maker. To be honest I'm not sure that DD (age 2) even knows what a doughnut is, I think I'm just trying to fool myself ;)

Wow.. So there is such a thing. Question is will it taste good??
Good luck with it jamberrie. I am sure it won't take long for DD to work out what a real donut is like. We mums do the healthy things and the dads usually introduce the "sometimes" foods ;D

I can confirm that comment Kimmy, my dad was terrible with his junk food :o :( That was the main reason I had weight issues as a kid.

We have the opposite problem here. My wife has the sweet tooth and is more inclined to do deserts and such. She tends to also let the kids just eat whatever Easter / Xmas chocolates they get when they want, with the understanding that when its gone its gone. I tend to ration it so its eaten much more slowly.

Unfortunately my son has really discovered his sweet tooth and is asking for sweets multiple times a day, even when he has already had some. (Like the other day when he wanted two Milky Ways)

How does it taste Marie?

It's my kind of dessert. Love strawberries, almonds and crumble  :D
This is lovely, and I also use the topping with other fruit as well. Very nice.
I don't know what book it is from as I found it on the web after another lady recommended it to me.
You have been busy ES, love apricot jam  :)
Donuts look great Jamberie  :)

Had visitors yesterday so no cooking apart from dinner.
Having visitors again this afternoon so I might whip up a cake this morning.

Mcmich the zucchini was absolutely delicious. I am not really a zucchini fan but loved it cooked this way. Will have again tonight.

Slice zucchini into round discs. Drizzle some garlic infused olive oil over them then sprinkled with mixed Italian herbs. Baked at 220* for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate

Left over chicken soup for me, then scrambled egg in the thermomix which was poor. T'was far to bitty / mushy and certainly didn't look like the picture. From reading the comments nor did recipe 2 (made recipe 1 from ... http://www.thermomix-recipes.com/2012/05/thermomix-scrambled-eggs-recipe.html which was from http://www.stephberg.com/?p=951 but recipe is no longer on Steph's blog)
