I'm sitting in bed with a bowl of it right now CP.  It's only been in the freezer for a few hours and the texture is just how I would like it to stay but I know it will be much harder in the morning.  Love the taste though.

I fancied that one too JD so will give it a go today as I have everything I need. A very simple recipe but sounds delish  :D

As I thought, the Sweet Milk Ice-cream did set quite hard but I could remove chunks quite easily with a knife and after a quick whizz in the TMX, my serve reverted back to a consistency much easier to eat.  I wouldn't call it ice-cream though, sorbet fits the bill in my mind.

I forgot to start my one minute/no knead bread last night, so I mixed it up this morning with 3/4 teaspoon of yeast and baked it just before dinner, and am pleased to say that it worked well.
We had friends visiting from overseas for dinner, so I roasted some porchetta and some vegetables, made a radicchio and apple salad, a fetta tart from dinner spinner, and finished off with a chocolate pavlova. The tart was so easy to make and a real hit - I will definitely be making this again. We had a lovely evening with good company, good food, and good wine. Bliss.

Looks lovely ES!  !  And I can see a bottle of Grange behind the tart - must have been really special friends to bring that out  ;) ;D
How did you make the apple and radicchio salad?

That tart is a winner. I do mine in the same tin. The bread looks great and I am sure the Grange went down a treat.

Karen, here is link to the salad recipe. I added an oak leaf lettuce and used the balsamic vinegar from Modena that our guests gave us in the dressing. It was really nice - even DD enjoyed it. Here is a photo of the leftover salad the day after- I made a very big one, so that there is heaps left over.
DH slipped the bottle of Grange into the back of my tart photo. Our guests had given it to us for a wedding pressie many years ago, so it was only appropriate to open it with them last night.
