Just lovely Maddy. Well done. Had to pick myself up off the floor after seeing all those Ferreros crushed. Bake them in a cupcake you say ....... no way......eat them straight from the box ;) ;D

Wonder, I use vinegar/milk too. Much cheaper and always on hand. On the weekend I mad the EDC scones with lemon juice/milk combo which worked well too.

Thanks Maddy. Very tempted to make your ferrero cupcakes for DH.

Are the ferreros easy to halve and crush?

Hot cross buns! DS4 requested and I always do as I am told ;) Put noughts and crosses on them as its not Easter. Now he can't decide which one to eat first ;D

Made some if Isi's Madeleine's again today - although the boys much prefer to call them Bear Paws as it is sounds more 'dangerous'!  We've got a school cake stall on Election Day (doesn't everyone!) so I thought I make the madeleines for that as well - something a little different for cupcakes.

Thanks for the reminder, Snappy -- actually got around to buying a madeliene tray the other day (when I was feeling sorry for myself for not being in Cherokee . . or Adelaide! :-)) )  It's found a home on the "baking shelves" but I must get it out and try them!!

I've made two batches of chookies Strawberry Conserve today.  The house smells lovely and strawberryish  :D :D :D
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Snappy i think most schools must have the cake stal if they are also an election venue. I've offered to make a few cakes for DD's highschool, I've not been invovled much there and with her finishing up in only a few weeks time thought it would be my last opportunity. i'm making the whole orange cake and the quicker than a packet cake made into a cinnamon tea cake.
